FESSLER REUNION – 2010

We invite you to join us at the 2010 Fessler Family Reunion. As always, we promise great food and a great time to visit and reconnect with relatives from across Canada and the United States.
This year, we have chosen Ponoka, Alberta as the site for our get together; Ponoka is located in the heart of Central Alberta amongst the vast industries of cattle, farming and oil business.
Enclosed you will find a Registration Form, a Souvenir Order Form and information on accommodations. The Registration Form and Souvenir Form need to be completed and returned to us, along with the appropriate payment, by May 15th, 2010. Cheques should be made payable to “Fessler Reunion”.
Registration Fees
The Registration Fee, which covers hall rental and all meals from Friday supper to Monday breakfast, are per person:
• Adults $30.00/person
• Students (6 to 18 years) $20.00/person
• Children (under 6) Free
Please put any additional info on the back of the registration form if needed.
Souvenirs
We have chosen some nice quality apparel to pick from! All clothing will include some new Fessler 2010 Reunion Branding. The stitching is going to be as unobtrusive as possible, usually a tone-on-tone coloring. It would be great if any of you creative Fesslers could send in a sketch of a new Crest or Logo Please use the order form provided, and we will have items ready for pick up on Friday evening.
Accommodations
You are responsible for making your own arrangements for accommodations. Below is a list of local motels and hotels and cost. Free camping is available at the Stampede grounds by the saloon. If you want services there are also sites available at the Stampede Grounds paid camping area just west of the grounds.
• Super 8 - blocked 12 rooms - 129.99 + tax - before June 30
• Stampeder - blocked 10 rooms - $109.99 + tax - before July 15
• Ponoka Stampede Campground – this is first come first serve.
Auction
We will once again be holding an auction. We encourage you to bring items to donate. The money raised goes to help defray Reunion costs; we donate any surplus to a worthy charity.
Family History Project
We are gathering photos of our Fessler Clan, if you have any old (or new) pictures of your family, please bring along a color photocopy, or e-mail to fesslerreunion@yahoo.com.
We are especially looking for pictures of generations past.
Activities
“Fessler Central” will be located at the Ponoka Stampede Grounds Stage Coach Saloon. It will be open from 3:00 pm on Friday through noon on Monday. More information on activities and sightseeing opportunities will be available here as well.
Some of our planned activities include:
Saturday
• Golf (sign up on registration sheet)
• Ponoka Swimming pool (bring your suits)
• Group photo at 4:00 pm. Family photos can be taken as well starting at 3:00
• AUCTION (bring your donated item)
• Dance
Sunday
• Hayride
• Family History Tour (we’ve rented a bus)
• Softball game (bring your glove!)
• The stampede grounds have some amateur rodeo’s going on so you can watch some of the good old western fun as well.

• The “job board” will be posted in the hall, please check it out to find out where and when you get to help out…..
• Please bring along some goodies to share at our desert table, homemade or otherwise welcome
